CARLISLE GILLFORD GREYHOUND STADIUM

The Cumbrian town of Carlisle has had 3 greyhound tracks in the past, an early one being at Gillford Park at 2° 54' W 54° 52' N. Racing began at the track in August 1928 and was independently run, but within a year the track had closed.

The town did have another track later on which was in the Sheepmount area of the town at 2° 56' W 54° 54' N.
